Phot by Paul Wright
It was an explosion of goals at home for the Dundas Real McCoys who scored 17 times against the St. Catharines Saints who made their first ever visit to the J.L. Grightmire Arena. With the 17-3 win, the McCoys move into a tie for third place with the Cambridge Hornets, with three games in hand.
Dundas would get goals from ten different players in the contest with Mackenzie Wood and Nathan Longpre each collecting three goals. Wood would lead the team with seven points on the night to move into fourth place in league scoring on the year. Phil Brewer was next with six points in the game (2G, 4A).
Other goals came from Jess Hackett, Cam Fergus, Nolan Sheeran, Cameron Hatziioannou, Slater Doggett, Danny Attridge, and Holden Doggett.
Mike Mole would pick up the win but would lose the shutout with 4:26 left in the game and give up two more after that. However, the win would be his 68th career victory in the Allan Cup Hockey League, ending the tie with Brett Leggat for the top spot in league history for all-time wins by a goaltender.
Dundas is on the road for their next game where they will face the Cambridge Hornets on Friday, November 28th starting at 8:00pm. The next action for the McCoys on home ice is Friday, December 5 when the Hornets visit the J.L. Grightmire Arena. Game time that night is 7:30pm.
