McCoys Fall To Tigers On The Road

Following a home defeat to the Wentworth Gryphins on Friday evening, the Real McCoys traveled to face the Stoney Creek Tigers. Despite a competitive performance through the opening two periods, Dundas ultimately fell 7-3.
Ralph Taggart paced the McCoys offense with three assists, while Holden Doggett contributed a pair of goals in the losing effort.
Stoney Creek opened the scoring with two goals before Paul Cianfini put Dundas on the board with 1:42 remaining in the second period. Doggett then brought the McCoys within one goal by the midway point of the third period, scoring at the 1:43 mark and again at 8:39. However, the Tigers responded with three unanswered goals to secure the victory.
Goaltender Ryan DeMelo made 30 saves in the contest for Dundas.
The McCoys return to action Thursday evening when they visit the Wentworth Gryphins at Harry Howell Arena. Dundas then returns to J.L. Grightmire Arena on Friday to host the Stoney Creek Tigers in a rematch. Both games are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. puck drop.
